Marv Tarplin Musician and Songwriter Dies at 70

Marv Tarplin, the Motown guitarist and musician/songwriter passed away 09-30-11 on Friday. His daughter, Talese Tarplin, confirmed that her father died in Las Vegas, where he had been living for some years.Marvin “Marv” Tarplin born 13 June 1941, in Atlanta, Georgia and death at the age of 70.

Mr.Tarplin first came to Berry Gordy Jr.’s Motown began his carer in the 1950s. Mr. Tarplin wrote much of the music for several other Miracles hits, including “My Girl Has Gone,” “Going to a Go-Go” and “The Love I Saw in You Was Just a Mirage.Tarplin won the Bmi Songwriter’s Award and the Ascap Award of Merit during his career.Marv Tarplin make it in the music business and co-writer.Marv Tarplin is survived by their daughter, Talese Tarplin, and two daughters from another relationship, Lisa and Ebony Tarplin.His wife, Sylvia, died in 2004
